Sodium Bisulphite (NaHSO₃, Tech Grade) is a high-purity industrial chemical widely used in textile, dye, paper, leather, chemical synthesis, and electroplating industries. It appears as a white to slightly yellowish crystalline powder with a mild odor of sulfur dioxide. When exposed to air, some sulfur dioxide may be released and the compound gradually oxidizes to form sulfate.

In the textile and printing industries, it is used as a deoxidizer and bleaching agent, improving whiteness and preventing localization on cotton fabrics while maintaining fiber strength. In dyestuff, paper making, and leather processing, it functions as a reducing agent, preventing oxidation of semi-finished products during reactions.

In the pharmaceutical industry, it is applied as an intermediate in the production of analgin and aminopyrine. It also serves in chromium-containing wastewater treatment and as an additive in electroplating baths.
